Administration of Estates/Probate & Trusts

When someone dies the smallest problems can seem insurmountable. Our specialist lawyers can help to minimise the strain of the formalities that arise. We offer a administration service to suit your personal needs.

Executors appointed under a Will are responsible for ensuring that the deceased’s wishes are carried out. To cash in or transfer assets of the estate, a Grant of Probate is often needed.

If there is no Will, the estate is distributed under intestacy rules. An administrator will need to be appointed by the Court. The Court will issue a Grant of Letters of Administration.

We are able to assist Executors or Administrators by offering a bespoke service depending on their requirements. We can manage the whole estate from start to finish, just obtain the Grant or something between the two.

"Often our clients require the following of our services:-"

  • Ascertaining all the assets and liabilities in an estate.
  • Arranging for the payment of the funeral account from the deceased’s assets.
  • Notifying Beneficiaries of their entitlement.
  • Preparing all the paperwork to lead to the issue of a Grant.
  • Dealing with all tax requirements.
  • Dealing with all aspects of sale or transfer of property.
  • Advising on Deeds of Variation.
  • Managing trusts.

We will either agree a fixed price for the work we do or provide a detailed estimate.
